While there has been no official announcement on the same, some of my friends using MTNL 256kbps unlimited plan have reported that they are getting download speeds of 60KBps instead of 30KBps which they used to get earlier. I called up customer care to confirm and they have told that they will be upgrading the speeds of everyone within the next 2-3days.

Waiting for my speeds to double :(
