Ok, So I was a bit skeptical about this offer since there are hardly any offers that ship giveaways to International destinations but I found that Microsoft is giving away free cds of its “Windows Home Server Edition, 120 days evaluation version” for free to everyone. This even includes free shipping so this means the total cost to you would be absolutely $0.

Here is what is included in the shipping package:

  1. Windows Home Server Installation DVD
  2. Windows Home Server Connector CD
  3. Home Computer Restore CD

Here is the link from where you can order your free Windows Home Server edition: Free Windows Home Server

Everyone wants free products and therefore, I am listing a new software that Zonealarm (A popular internet security firm with the most popular firewalls till now) is giving away for free as part of its campaign called “PatchTuesday”

Just visit this link PatchTuesday on 12th August 2008 from 6AM PST time and you will be able to download your copy of the free Forcefield. Forcefield is a Virtualised Browser Security solution which seems nice to try (I havent used this myself, so it is very difficult for me to comment how useful this is)

ZoneAlarm ForceField provides a protective layer around your browser, shielding you from drive-by downloads, browser exploits, phishing attempts, spyware and keyloggers. So your passwords, your confidential information, and your financial data remain protected.

So, lets try this out as a free offer and if its not worth it, we can always uninstall it ;)

Bored of Karl Marx : Comic strip

6 Aug 2008 In: General

OK, so I am studying Marxism in my class these days and frankly my intellectual capabilities fail to “digest” what this great philosophical work means. It is apparently an attempt to study and formulate a general behavior of societies and humans and their interactions with each other.

Now, I hardly care what that theory means (except for the fact that it should not come in my examinations).

I was browsing through the net and found this comic strip on one of the blogs. Somehow unable to comprehend Marx, I think that given my limited knowledge this is what he meant when he was deriving his theory.

(This is in no way what he meant. This is what I perceive that he meant ;) )
